What's that you say? The "Current Middle Ages?"
You heard right! Caer Galen is a chapter group in the historical recreation organization known as "The Society for Creative Anachronism," or "SCA" for short. The SCA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the better qualities, and education, of historical living (i.e. no plague, destitution, or slavery). The SCA focuses from the time of the Roman Empire to the end of Queen Elizabeth I's reign, and encompasses historical Europe, parts of North Africa, and Asia. The SCA is broken into "Kingdoms" across the "Known World." Kingdoms are further organized into "Baronies, Shires, etc."

New Chapters in the Great Saga of Caer Galen
Dear Barony,
A missive from the Seneschal on behalf of your Baron and Baroness.
As our esteemed Righ Tuatha has found love, they have found a home. I'm so happy for the life they will have, but they will be moving to Wyoming. It has been announced at practice that Ronan and Bryn will be stepping down at our event in Pickle Gulch.
After talking to their Majesties and Highnesses, we will be having a Vicar/Vicaress put in place at this event. What does that mean? They will be there to help sign paperwork and be there to help with the interim business work. Please send your contact information to seneschal@caergalen.org if you're interested. I've received a couple already, thank you!!
If you are interested in being a part of the Baronage, think about it. Talk to me. We have possibilities as to where investiture can happen depending on when and how many responses are received. Please send those to crown@outlands.org, heirs@outlands.org and seneschal@caergalen.org.
So there are no worries. Caer Galen is still wonderful and ready to have fun! Let's keep showing the known world how amazing we are!!!
Forever grateful for you all,
Asta Olafsdottir

Many of the baronial officers are in need of deputies. If you have an inclination to support your Barony and its populace, head over to the Officers page. If an office has no deputy listed, contact that officer directly for information regarding being a deputy for that office.
