Caer Galen Business meeting March 4, 2007

In attendance: Baroness Katherina, Baron Carrick, Maestra Francesca, Master

Officer reports: Nothing to add to the posted reports.

Discussion of electronic newsletters and suggested donation to keep them 
free to be consistant with previously printed statements.

Events:
May day: May 5th,  Isack Walton Clubhouse, Longmont
Will be needing volunteers for various positions.  Please contact autocrat 
to offer assistance.
There will be a potluck lunch in the hall again this year.

Caer Galen Cavalier Challenge: May 20th
  Tight time schedule for horses 11-4 as owner wishes to be on premises 
while horse activities are being run.  Anyone wishing to lease a horse must

get in contact with autocrat so that a group class can be arranged at the 
end of April/beginning of May.
Visions of great pagentry for this event and would like to see lots of 
heraldic displays.
Need someone to help with crowd control and Q&A as there will be a goodly 
number of folks for whom this is their first contact with the SCA.
Would like to run a fencing tourney, looking into authorizing a few more 
fencing marshals so that can happen easier.
Maestra Francesca and Lady Gwentliana will be running troll as there are a 
few more waivers that must be signed at equestrian events.
Mistress Meenakshi will be the liason for riders and land folk.
Please pack water and a picnic lunch for yourself as food and drink are not

accessible at this site.


Jester's Folly: June 22-24
Encouraging pre-registration as it would  give a better idea of how many 
port-a-lets will be needed.
Looking for a head troll and folks to think about volunteering for
different 
positions.
Announcements in OH in May and June but will do advertising on local and 
kingdom lists.
There will be opportunities for folks to try archery
There will be Archery Marshals on site for authorization
Water will be available

Sir Leifr- Heavy weapons tourney
Lady Thea- water bearing
Mistress Briana - MoL


Caer Galen Defender: July 20-22
Preparing budget to submit next month
Looking at reserving the whole campground at Pickle Gulch 20-22 and picnic 
area 21/22.
Plan on having the different tourneys at different times.  Looking for Head

troll.

Danse Macabre: Oct 20
Same danse time, same danse place and same danse budget.  VFW is renting to

us at the same rate as last year.

Midwinter: Dec 8th
Site struggles, looking into a few other places and any suggestions would
be 
helpful.

Other topics:
A budget was submitted for Caer Galen fencing gear as the bag that comes to

fighter practice is actually generous loaning from Master Max and Master 
Ian.
