Pádraig Ó Súileabháin:
Researched and practiced 16th century Dutch illumination. I have
started to catalog the features present in this type of illumination.
Did some more research on medieval jewelry and 16th century Ireland.
Found a new method to get a good polish on stones that have a hardness
of 7 or greater. Earlier methods left to many scratches. Have
cabbed about a dozen stones including one ruby. I have also made a
ring and a hair pin of silver, and started shaping the pieces for a
swept hilt. I have also begun putting together a portfolio.
Groups and Guilds:
Scribal Guild:
held a workshop on illumination at the may folk moot
Fiber Guild report:
We talked about getting involved with different groups and creating
activities at events with Defender , 3-stags and Unser Haven Newcomers being
the focus.
Thank you all for your hard work and help in making this such a great barony.
Pádraig Ó Súileabháin
