[Sca-List] Viking Apron Dress Workshop - This Sunday!!!!

For those of you who would really love a Viking apron dress (yep, anyone
going to Estrella and cheering Leifr on!), Baroness Keridwen Andersdottir is
teaching a workshop on this very thing over at my house on Sunday, January
14, at noon.

What you will need to bring:

Ducky-bunny fabric (for making the pattern/layout on how it will fit)
A couple yards of wool - (pre-washed and dried - to prevent shrinkage)
White Linen - for straps.
A sewing machine or two (for the group, we have two here)

She will do a slam session -- measurements and how to get them to fit to
one's body via ducky-bunny, and then throwing things together -- and
then of course, fittings after they put together their wool dresses.
Dwen will also bring her two apron dresses for folks to look at, and
possibly a 3rd one which is in progress...

Directions to Bri's house:

>From Longmont: Take Hwy 119 East of Main Street, to County Road 1. Turn
left on CR 1, and go north to 9th street. Turn left on 9th Street and go
west on 9th to Deerwood. Turn left on Deerwood and go south through the
traffic circle and continue 1/2 block to Prairie Song place. Turn left on
Prairie Song and go down the block. Our house is near the end of the block
on the right hand side, and the house number is 1619 Prairie Song Place.
Please call 720-494-1553 if you get lost.

>From Boulder: Take Hwy 119 North/East through Longmont, to County Road 1.
Follow directions as above.

>From Southern Boulder County: Take Hwy 287 north to Hwy 119 East, go to
County Road 1. Follow directions as above.

A note on parking: Due to the City of Longmont's idea of snow removal in
residential areas, parking is at a premium near our house as the snow
mountains have not yet melted. Please park carefully, and be prepared to
walk a block or so if the snow drifts are still too high near the house.
