[Sca-List] Fencing Lessons/School at Fighter Practice

Greetings Caer Galen!

Do you want to learn to fence?

I've had a few people ask me if I'd be willing to help them learn. I've had a couple more ask if we could regularly work on helping them through the plateau they feel they've reached. And I think that it is time to do just that.

But I want to open the idea to as many fencers, potential fencers, and curious individuals as possible.

AND SO! Having spoken with and received the blessings of our Seneschal, Rapier Marshal, our Baron, and a few other people who would be able and willing to help, I'm announcing that beginning on Tuesday at 7 PM, and every Tuesday with a practice thereafter, I will be opening formal classes and lessons to anyone who wants to take them.

This is not sponsored by the Barony, nor is it run by the Barony in any way. I will be providing some equipment (but not a lot) so if you have your own gear bring it. I will be requesting $1 for each of the private lessons; this will help get/fix equipment and maybe sponsor a practice or something.

It will be open to all, and regardless of whether you're a new fencer or an experienced fencer who wants to take a new step or two, we will tailor things for your skill level.

At 7 PM we will begin with drills and warm-ups. At 7:15, I will start one-on-one lessons, five to ten minutes each. If you want to take a lesson you *must* participate in the drills and warm-ups. 

If you want to get in on the private lessons, mail back before Tuesday - I'll reserve time slots for ten people and we'll see if we need to expand space further after that.

So RSVP today! Let's make sure that no one forgets why Caer Galen is still the shark pool of the Rapier Community.
