There's a really wonderful audio tape and book I know of called "Beethoven
Lives Upstairs."  I'm betting a nearby library would have it, if you can't
just order it.  (I haven't checked Amazon.)   It's told from the point of
view of a young boy who lives in the same building as Beethoven, talking
about that crazy guy always storming around and pounding on his piano. 

I'm posting this to the list rather than privately because it really is a
great piece, highly recommended.
