The Harp of Caer Galen

This isn't a Baronial award per se, but it is one of the highest honors Caer Galen can give its people. Once a year, at the Midwinter Revel, the populace votes on the person who has contributed the most to the Barony and who most embodies the spirit of Caer Galen. Past Harps include:

Order of the Monkey

given to persons who have brought much joy and laughter to the Barony of Caer Galen. The holders of this award shall be styled as Companions of the Dancing Monkey, and shall be entitled to place the letters D.M. after their names. The insignia of the order shall be the some rendition of a dancing monkey, or the badge of the order once it has been approved by the College of Arms.

Order of the Harp and Chalice

given to those individuals who so love their Barony that they give of themselves freely, sometimes sacrificing personally to make sure the barony as a whole is enriched. The holders of this award shall be styled as Companions of the Order of the Harp and Chalice, and shall be entitled to place the initials C.H.C. after their names. The insignia of the order shall be a blue and gold braid bearing some rendition of a golden chalice charged with a harp.

Order of the Golden Nightingale

The holders of this award shall be styled as Companions of the Order of the Golden Nightingale, and shall be entitled to place the letters C.G.N. after their names. Order of the Foal

given to those persons under sixteen (16) years of age who have shown themselves to be an asset to the Barony. The holders of this award shall be styled as Companions of the Order of the Foal, and shall be entitled to place the letters C.F. after their names. The insignia of the order shall be the some rendition of a horse. Subject to the approval of the College of Arms, the badge of the order shall be: Azure, a horse couchant or.

Order of the Arch

Given to those persons who have given outstanding service to the Barony, above and beyond that service normally expected of subjects of the Crown.
The holders of this award shall be styled as Builders of the Arch, and shall be entitled to place the letters B.A. after their names.
The insignia of the order will be some rendition of two pillars supporting an arch, or the badge of the order once it has been approved by the College of Arms.

Order of Saint William the Cooper

Given to those persons who have done good works for the Barony and the People of the Barony. Individuals may receive this award multiple times, but not more than once in any four month period. The holders of this award shall be styled as Bearers of the Chalice of Saint William the Cooper and shall be entitled to place the initials B.C.W. after their names. Multiple recipients shall be styled "twice bearer of the chalice" or "thrice bearer" or "four times bearer," as appropriate.

Order of Saint Michael with the Harp

Given to those persons who have enhanced the Glory of Caer Galen through their excellence in martial affairs. The holders of this award shall be styled as Companions of the Order Bards Militant, and shall be entitled to place the letters C.B.M. after their names. The insignia of the order shall be a blue leather garter buckled about the upper arm of the recipient, or the badge of the order once it has been approved by the College of Arms.

Order of Saint Louis with the Staff

Given to persons of long time participation in the affairs of Caer Galen, spanning at least fifteen (15) years. The holders of this award shall be styled as Companions of the Band of Curmudgeons, and shall be entitled to place the letters B.C. after their names. The insignia of the order shall be a golden cane or a walking stick, which shall display the badge of the order once it has been passed by the college of arms.

L'Ordre du Poignard Noir

The holders of this award shall be styled as Bearers of the Poignard Noir, and shall be entitled to place the letters B.P.N. after their names.
